Project :- Box Sliding Sash Windows

We have just completeed a project in Hambledon Hampshire where we replaced the existing Victorian box sliding sash windows with new to match the style of existing however we made some exciting improvments.  Namely the introduction of 22mm soft coat gas filled double glazed units also with Pilkington self cleaning glass!

The frames were traditionally made with lead weights brass furniture fully draft sealed all round, all made to an extremely high specification with tradiotnal horns and mouldings. As you can see from the enclosed photographs we have constructed a very traditional looking box sash window with the advantage of the self clean glass.

We are yet to get feedback from the client on how successful the glass has been but early tests indicates that it is a very useful product particularly when fitting windows in a very hard to reach situation but we will keep you posted.
